Ugh I came across a really bad name today

Vanity isnt to my taste but everyone likes all sorts of different names I guess. No-one has commented negatively on Maddisons name yet but if they did I wouldnt care, we named her after my Grandad (Addison, we just added the 'M') so its special to us I just hate that people shorten it to Maddie as I dont like it so am constantly saying to people 'please dont call her Maddie, its Maddison'

Lil miss is Serena Kaia or Serene Earth and unless shes in pain or hungry she really is very down to earth and placid child... I'm a great believer in names carry personality aspects...which is why lil miss' name was deliberated over thoroughly and checked via numerology. I wasn't taking any chances... but Vanity... that just conjures up a vision of an obnoxious little brat.

I always checkout name meanings, Seren means star and she is certainly a star, grabbing your attention and Cally is a shortened version of Calista which means beautiful face I have loved other names but not used them after seeing the name meaning.

Evie means Life and Mae is obviously just a variant of May (When she was due... although she arrived in April! )

Vanity isn't so much my taste either. I like mildly unusual names. Nothing too extreme.

When I tell people we're calling the girls Rome and Jaida, they appear to have no idea what to say.
Some dislike the chosen names, while some agree with our originality.
Me and DH adore both the names.
It's kinda funny, 'cos it's Grace and Joe with "regular" names and Rome and Jaida have the unique one's.
Vanity isn't to my taste, but someone may disagree with me.
