Hello all...

Wonder if anyone can help. I've been offered the chance at a typing job but I need to come back with a price and I've no idea of the range I should be quoting.

Job entails :

First 23,000 words in a week or so.
Total Job is 150,000 words.
Typing up from handwritten notes.

Does anyone know what sort of money I should be charging, please?

Thank you!

just found this on a website:

"A realistic charge for normal work would be about £4 per thousand words. Some typists charge an hourly rate of pay. You can negotiate fees with your client and could charge a bit extra for work needed in a hurry. You may want to agree on expenses such as paper, ink cartridges, pen drives, CDs, disks etc."

Hope it helped!

Thank you! I didn't want to underprice and be considered "naff" or overprice and just price myself out of the job.

:)
