Type 1 diabetes

Anyone else pregnant with type 1 diabetes? I'm 5w3 and my blood sugar has gone from being so good (amazed myself in the first couple of weeks) to really erratic highs and lows

Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,

I'm also a T1 and a few weeks behind you.
It is normal for BS to drop at the start of pregnancy (so I've read). My BS has been lower than normal the past 3 days.
Ii plan on taking a little less insulin and carry around snacks to ensure I try to keep them in the right place

Yeah my DSN said that’s totally normal. She said most people realise their pregnant because they suddenly get loads of hypos... I’m 7 weeks and since about week 3 I’ve cut my insulin and had to carry loads of snacks!

I know at some point insulin requirements go up in pregnancy but I’m not sure when? Tri 2 maybe...

How far along are you?
