Yesterday at postnatal class somebodies LO could roll over and he was about 1 weeks younger than my LO. I am sure the reason is how little time Ellie spends on her tummy, but the reason I don't leave her on her tummy for that long is that she gets upset. I always put her on her tummy at least twice a day but I will turn her back as soon as she gets upset which is sometimes after 30sec. Am I alone in this? Should I leave her on her tummy even though she is upset? Does anybody have any tips on how to stop her getting upset?

I wouldnt have believed it if you hadnt said you actually saw it. Thats really early I think. Im like you if Joe cries I just move him back. I dont think Jess was rolling over at 6 months. They all do things differently.

Hiya, Keep putting her on her tummy untill she gets upset, The more she is down on the front, the quicker she will get used too it. Oliver was rolling early and he been crawling for weeks now. but He has always liked been on his tummy!

Every baby is different.

don't bother what other abies are doing chick
They all develop at different paces.

at the end of the day they are all doing the same things when they are five so why rush them. Enjoy them while they are babies!

Thats good to here. I worry occasionally that I am not doing things right by Ellie.

I am always worrying...Oliver can move but he does not put his weight on his legs yet!!

You must be doing ok or you would not worry!

Sounds like you're doing a grand job & like the others said every baby is different & will do thngs in their own time & like or dislike different things.

Jamie was the same, hated being on his tummy but once her started rolling on to his tum more often he has grown to like it more.

aw dont worry babies all develop differently..i'm sure there are things ellie can do that other babies her age cannot!
Hayden gets upset and cries after being on his front for longer than 5 mins, he can hold his head up good but he seems to get upset after a while! i didnt think he was anywhere near rolling himself over but he can (as i discovered after i left him on my bed to make his bottle) he can only roll onto his front though then he gets stuck..lol so dont get worried they all develop in different ways!

hehe your not alone Ellis HATES being on his belly haha ,,,,, he is soooo funny gets all flustered after about a minute. :rotfl:

I just flip him back over and he sighs like, thank god for that i am on my back again and can just lay here like a slob!! haha xxxx

Lydia absolutely hated tummy time....so after 2 attempts, we never bothered after that

She was a bit slow to start rolling over, but it didn't really matter because she caught up in the end and then everything else came at the right times - sitting up, crawling, walking etc.

I wouldn't worry if I were you hun, babies do things at their own paces.
