I recovered fine after my c-section, but in the last week or so I've noticed achey-ness in the area I would guess the internal scarring to be. Has anyone experienced this? Not sure if I've done something to aggregate it, or if I should just stop whinging.

I'd say you're fine to whinge all you like! I hate my c-section scar, it's a pain - literally! I have had a nasty few twinges in mine recently (at the ends of the scar) after having no real aches/pains at all for ages. And I'm almost 7 months on. It's such a major operation, it's not really surprising that it can cause problems. Maybe you moved awkwardly and caught it? Or it could just be part of the healing process.

Sorry to hijack the thread but maybe you ladies could reassure me if this is normal. I have had severe pain in my lower stomach the past few days after thinking I was starting to recover. It's been bad enough that I'm just saying in bed most of the time. I was also bleeding again yesterday after thinking that had basically slowed to a stop. I'm just wondering what you ladies experienced in the first month after your sections whether it's normal for pain to come and go and possibly worsen from time to time? Xx

Pain definitely comes and goes. After a while of no pain at all, I've had an on/off severe ache in my left side near my scar for the past couple of days. Occasionally I'll get a really sharp twinge. It's never been severe enough for me to need to rest in bed, but I see you're only 2 weeks post-section. I'd probably just check with a doc that everything's ok. I had some hideous pains, but it's best to get checked, especially if it's suddenly become severe again and isn't improving. As for bleeding, I had that for a number of weeks after my c-section (4, I think) xx

Thanks Ella, think I'm gonna go to GP just to get checked over. I've usually got a really good pain threshold, and this is similar to the achy-ness I had in the days after my section.

Frenzy, I would get checked out just for peace of mind. I felt almost back to normal by week 2, and was driving again. Everyone is different though. At my 6 week check the GP said I must heal quickly as I have a lot of bumpy internal scar tissue :-/ I'm almost 4 months on and it's come back. Re the bleeding. I though I'd stopped after 2 weeks, then it came back and continued till about 6 weeks.

Can I highjack this topic and ask if anyone has experienced 'heavy legs' after their section? im finding it quite hard to get up from sitting sometimes, don't know if its the extra weight im carrying or a side effect from the 2 epi's and spinal I had...sorry to deviate from original question x
