Well, only just got my BFP today and I'm already paranoid!!!! Ha ha!

I've had tummy cramps on and off today, so worried af is going to turn up.

They do feel a little bit different to usual for af (little bit sharper, and no spotting which I would normaly have had by now), but I'm still paranoid it's not going to stick!!!

Starting to think I shouldn't tell my hubby when he gets home, maybe should wait a few more days.

What do you think ladies? Did many of you get tummy cramps really early on (12 dpo)? Should I let hubby know about the bfp?

Thanks!

Definitely tell your hubby Hun, I'm sure everything is fine but either way you want to be able to talk honestly with OH. He would prob be upset if he thought you knew and he didn't!! Xxx

I never did a test straight away cos I thought af was coming! So totally normal

Thanks Sleepy Sue!

You are, of course, right! Feeling a bit more positive now anyway - was just in a bit of a panic because of cramps, but hoping that it's just my body adjusting.....

Looking forward to seeing his face now, so I'm looking out for his car!!! It just doesn't seem real yet!!

He's just phoned to say he's on his way home - I don't think I'll be able to keep a straight face until he finds the bfp in the bathroom!

Have you told him yet????

Cramps are absolutly normal! i had them up until about a week ago and still get the odd twinge now and again!!
Its just your uterus starting to strech and the lining building!!

Cramps are normal in early pregnancy, I was and still do get cramps on and off all the time x

deffo tell hubby hun....

i had those cramps and had awful AF type cramps when AF was due but she never came......

all normal hun so just try and relax...

congrats again.x x x x

Congrats hun! As the other lovely ladies have said cramping is very normal in early pg, we pretty much all have it and it scares us all shitless lol! xD

hi hun, congrats on ur bfp. i think its normal to get cramps and even spottiing around the time of AF being due, i believe this can happen right thru tri 1 xx

Cramps are totally normal hun!
How did ur OH react?

Do tell us how it went! I love hearing your stories.

My husband actually announced ME I was pregnant, lol! I don't function very well first thing in the morning and I was zombie-ing around the kitchen while he was watching the ClearBlue.

Ha ha!!!!! Thanks to you all ladies!!!! It's very reassuring to know you've had cramps too!!! I must stop obsessing that I've done something wrong - like lifting stuff at work - or that it's not gonna stick!

Hubby knows! I left the positive pregnany test on the back of the loo for him to find when he came home.....

He got home, and then didn't go into the bathroom for about an hour and a half!!!! I waited very patiently!!!!

He then announced to me that he was 'going for his 4th poo of the day! (TMI!!!) So I replied "Well, perhaps this one will be more special than the others"

He went upstairs, I heard the door close, then it opened again and I heard him walking around upstairs......

After a bit he came downstairs and poked his head around the lounge door (I was giggling behind a blanket!)

He said "Two things......firstly have we got any loo roll (!) and secondly.......(I'm now openly giggling!)..........I thought we said you weren't going to buy any pregancy tests because we thought it would come back negative and so now it's just a waste of money"

To which I replied, "But it's not negative, it's positive".

He said "Is it?" then grinned and gave me a great big hug!!!! Then follows a conversation about the finer points of reading a pregnancy tests!!! i.e. just because one line is slightly fainter, doesn't mean it's negative!!! Ha ha!!!! He was very pleased but is trying not to get too excited as it's still such early days. I told him that trip to the loo would be more special than the rest!!!!

Thanks for all of your support ladies - much appreciated!

xxxxx

Well done to you for being patient! I don't think I would have managed lol! And awesome response by hubby xD

FX it's a sticky bean and that you have a happy. healthy 9 months! <3

Loooool "special" poo. Awwwwwww prob one poo he'll never forget.

:rotfl: Gotta love the toilet humour

Mine didnt understand the test either when i presented it to him. If we ever have a next time I will be using the test that says "Pregnant" not the one with the two lines.
