Hello!
New to all of this, but I’m stuggling so need some friendly advice!

My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 5 months but I have been off birth control for 2 years ( don’t get on with the pill )
I’m 20 and he’s 26, we both have good jobs and a home and he has a 5 YO daughter from a previous relationship!

It feels like forever already with trying and I always assumed with being on the younger side it would happen straight away, but nope! So I guess I’m just wondering about everything really and I’d love to hear other people’s TTC stories if you’re willing to share!
Thank you Xx

Hello, it’s perfectly normal for it to take up to a year for a healthy couple (although we all hope it doesn’t take that long!) I’m on cycle 4 ttc my 5th pregnancy (3 miscarriage, one baby). Are you using opks or temping? X

Hiya!!

It can take awhile when ttc so don’t get disheartened. Enjoy it while you’ve just started.
Are you just dtd regularly or are you using methods to pin point ovulation?
Xx

I hope so! I know all the statistics and everything it just doesn’t make my patience any better! Haha.
I’m using opks at the minute!
Sorry to hear about your babies, fingers crossed and baby dust for a happy healthy pregnancy! X

I suppose that’s one way to look at it, thank you!
Using opks at the minute, thinking about jumping on the bandwagon for one of them Ava bracelet but not too sure yet x

Your very early on in your journey so try to enjoy it will you can. It can take an average of a year for a couple to fall pregnant.
I am on my 9th cycle and still waiting for my positive test.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah I’m trying to enjoy it at the same time but worrying at the same time haha.
Aw good luck to you lovely! X

OPKs are a great way to pinpoint when to dtd. I always get a bfp if I dtd on a peak day if your using clearblue it that’s helpful xxx

Ttc can take a while although we all hope it doesn’t. Try not to stress.

I’m sure you’re doing the following already but make sure you’ve both got healthy diets, do a bit of exercise (although no running of marathons) and reduce your caffeine and alcohol and take your folic acid/ a pregnancy supplement.

The testing threads are a great way to help with the wait every month!

Best of luck to you hopefully it won’t be too long a wait :dust:
