Hi all,

I used to be a member of Symptoms Spotters Anonymous - we had a fab group of girls but my relationship eneded and it seems that in the last year a lot has changed and the thread is now full of a lot of people I don't know (shy girl standing by the door).

So here I am, starting a fresh, hoping some old friends will pop by and that I'll make some new ones too.

I am newly married, haven't been with my hubby that long (5 months to be exact) - what can I say, love hit me like a freight truck! We're moving into a house together after living with parents for a couple of months to save and now want to start TTC.

I wasn't on the pill in my previous relationship for about a year whilst I had investigations for heavy and painful periods. I had a laparoscopy on May 5th this year, which found endometriosis as expected. Two adhesions were removed and my tubes flushed and everything checked. The consultant said my tubes and ovaries were 'beautiful' and to try for a baby when we are ready.

This is cycle 1 - I always tend to gear up to ovulate then don't actually ovulate until 5 or so days later (thanks body) so I believe I'm 3dpo today.

Anyone else just started TTC again after a break or with endo...?

My name is Harriet. Nice to meet you.

Hello ..I haven't had a lap yet but I'm 90% sure I have endometriosis.
Doctor won't refer me for any tests which is very annoying.
I've been trying for a baby well over 2 years now with no luck.
Had blood test results today which were normal but not a clue what they were even looking for
Anyway ..good luck and I hope you get a little bit of baby dust soon

Hello! Thank you for joining me!

Oh man... why don't they refer you? Have you got a tricky gp?

I had to have bloods, a pelvic scan (to rule out PCOS) and they then referred me to a gynae... I'm sorry, I did really have to stamp my feet to get what I wanted mind. Normal bloods is good! :)

Thank you - you too. x

Hi I joined here in Jan 17 amd been ttc for 5 months with my hubbie. I have been married 3 years in July but been together 13 years!. I am not having any luck so started tests at docs...going for day 21 bloods on Monday. I am currently feeling stressed as trying to sell my flat as reserved our dream house but we now have 10 days left to sell. I am also feeling cranky from ovulation pains and my boobs are friggin killing me cd#15 today. Welcome back and don't be shy! It soubds like you will be preggers in no time at all. I just wish I had the reasurance from a doc like you bave had. I have convinced myself I have issues that will prevent me from ever having a baby.

My doctor said if I had endo I would be in a lot more pain and that it's more than likely ibs.
I'm going to keep going back and complaining and hopefully eventually il be referred

Hi Alexis,

Buying and selling is such a nightmare isn't it, I can't imagine the level of stress. I had the exact same feeling, I knew I had endo or something. You could always go to the docs and say you've been trying for longer than 5 months...although it sounds like they are taking you seriously by doing the day 1-3 and 21 bloods. After that I had the pelvic scan... then the lap - and all of this has been done this year so it can be done quickly depending on your gp's process.

With endo, my cycles are irregular and I often don't ovulate until CD21-25 so they can never catch me at the right time to check for ov.

Keep going and keep smiling - you'll get there, we all will. We are women after all... don't we always get what we want. xx
