ttc no.2 after miracle pg with dd

Hi all,
I've been lurking in the ttc section for a while and debating whether to move to long term and assisted but then I saw this section, which seesm to be the one for me.

I have a 2 year old daughter whom I conceived naturally adfter 5 yrs of ttc with unexplained infertility (nothing apparently wrong with either of us). I found out I was pg a month before we were duer to start our first round of ivf in 2011 and have never been pg in my life before so she was (and is) an absolute gift
I told myself I didndt want any more (partly beccause I was so scared of the dissapointment of fruitlessly ttc again) but she is such a loving child and loves other kids so much that I know a second baby would complete or family

So anyway, here I am again.

Started off very casually ntnp but just found myself ordering a 3 month supply of pregnacare concieve vits so think its time to admit that I want this badly.

The thing is - i tried literally everything last time and the month i got pg we had only bd'd twice and not even close to cd14 (I have a 28/29 day cycle) so who knows if any of it will work this time.

We've not really used any conreception (aside from the fact that DD sleeps in our bed) since she was born but been trying tio time things a little since we got married last September.

Just wanted to welcome you to the group as I have just joined too. I have avoided joining such a group for a while now as didn't want to get too obsessed with TTC or admit to myself that it seems we actually have a problem. But after a year trying I am guessing that something isn't quite right.

When you were trying for your DD did you get your BFP naturally after 5 years with nothing or did you try different treatments or have any MC?

So far I have had no BFPs or MCs and a very regular 26-28 day cycle. On the surface it seems like there is nothing wrong, very frustrating.

Hi there, I'm trying for number 2 as well, no problems conceiving our dd 5 years ago, second month off the pill...this time 18 months trying and a host of issues and we're looking at IVF. It's all such a rollacoaster. This section of the forum is pretty quiet, you might find more support in the lttc or the main ttc forum. I normally hide in my journal...been hanging around too long! Xx

Hi ladies. I'm also ttc after fertility issues. I have 2 children to my previous relationship and then me and dh suffered 7 early mc's (1was ectopic) all in about 3 months of each other. Then nothing happened at all for year and a half and we were diagnosed with secondary unknown infertility (every single test proves we are fine alone and fine together) literally days later after being told we had secondary unknown infertility we got a BFP!! They put me onto cyclogest 400mg twice daily and my pregnancy went perfectly!! Until we went for our 20 week scan and our dd had medical issues that basically made her incomparable with life, we delivered her sleeping at 24 weeks and she was perfect (end December)
We started ttc again 7 days later (my mind was a blur with grief at that point) we have been back to see fs and I am ovulating and all is fine still but he may be putting me onto clomid to boost my ovulation a bit. I so desperately want my rainbow baby!! I went all out when I was over the 12 weeks with my dd,,, moved to bigger house so she would have her own room! 2 prams (1for car as smaller and a big silver cross for when out without car), nursery has everything (didn't get round to decorating) her wardrobe was better than Victoria beckhams and I could re stock mother are with bottles/sterilisers/dummies/bibs you name it!!

I ov'd this month (only taking cyclogest from Tuesday and pregncare conception for over a month) on Sunday and dtd wed before and then the Sunday I ov'd Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. Hoping this month will be the one but I've a feeling I should have dtd more before Sunday!!
