Hi all! I'm new to TTC - only officially started in the last couple of weeks, but I've been off the pill since the start of January. Still no period but I got impatient waiting  so we're going ahead and keeping our fingers crossed that something happens soon!

I'm 29 (almost 30!) and have been dreaming about having a baby for so long...now we're officially trying it's like I can't think about anything else! Would be good to talk to other ladies in a similar position so I don't drive my husband crazy!

Hello Merry! I came off the pill about 7 months ago and started ttc officially end of December... so had 2 cycles of trying (we decuded ti use opks and charting from the start)and currently in my 2nd cycle at 2ww. So far nothing yet. I have started temperature charting this month too which is very interesting. I am 33 and married 3 years this July but been with OH for 13 years. Wishing you lots of baby dust !

Hi! How have you found using the opks? Thinking I might start in the next couple of weeks to try and work out what my cycle is doing! Good luck for the 2ww - lots of :dust: to you!

Merry they have been great. I use the clear blue and 1st time i got peak fertility and 2nd cycle i got high...then 24 hrs later I got peak.

I currently feel all achey hormonal and tired. Got 8 days left in tww.

Hello and welcome merry, I'm 41 and have two children aged 11 and 9 and ttc #3. I've been trying for almost 6 months now. I have also been using opk's and temping which I have found really helpful and I have learned alot about my body over this time. I think it takes on average apparently 6 months for women to conceive.....although there are exceptions to the rule so hopefully you are one of these x

I think I'll probably try them, I like the idea of having a clue what's happening. Hopefully the achey feeling is a good sign - I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

The key thing about temping is to do it before you get out of bed. It is a bit of a pain but gives you a really good idea when you have ovulated. Obviously this is no good if you are solely relying on temping to try and work out when to dtd so using opk's are helpful to use alongside. I usually check cm (sorry tmi) around ovulation and usually get EWCM around my most fertile time, so good to dtd every day or at least every other day over those few days. X

P.s. You can buy approx 30 opk's off Amazon for less than £5.

Hi Merry, welcome! I have literally just joined too, in the hope i don't drive my Husband insane with my symptom checking and baby talk! LOL

I use an App called 'Glow', i have been using it to track my periods, monthly symptoms etc and find it very insightful. I did try the OPKs but found it was adding to my existing anxiety.

Hope you get your BFP soon x

Hi Carly! I downloaded an app but haven't really used it yet, didn't feel I had much to report! Once I'm into a tww on the other hand... :) good luck to you! X

Hi Merry. It sounds as though we are in very similar positions. I'm so excited, babies are all I've talked about since we decided to officially start trying, I just hope now that the wait isn't too long!

Hi Em!

It is exciting! Funny though that most of us spend so much of our adult lives trying not to get pregnant, then suddenly when we do want to it seems it's slightly surprising that it's not instant :)

Not far away at all. I think I'm probably over thinking everything already, but I've waited to be ready for so long that I just can't help myself! A close friend and a sister in law being pregnant doesn't help the matter either!

I'm the same, I promised myself I'd not get too carried away and remember that it doesn't happen instantly for most people... but I'm obsessed :) There's a few people at work who are pregnant and I'm a tiny bit jealous! x
