Hi everyone! I don't really have anyone to talk about trying to conceive so I signed up here.

I'm almost 39 years old and this is the first time I'm trying to get pregnant. We'll see if it will ever happen but I try to think positive. My mom and her mom both got pregnant when they were +40 years old. Also, I always know when Im ovulating cause I have cramps and then 14 days after my periods come. My cycle is quite regular. All that should help.

I'm so excited to start trying. Just got a bunch of pregnancy tests on the mail today cause I know I'll be eager to test when it's time :)

Is anyone else here in a similar situation? Maybe the same age as I? I'm bummed I have no one to talk to about this. I do have friends but my very best one I don't feel nice talking about this too much since it's a touchy subject for her.

Hi and welcome, hope you will find the best support over here. I will be keeping my fingers super tight x

Hi, keeping my fingers crossed for you! I finally got my sticky bean in September at the age of 37. I thought I would get lots of comments etc because of my age, but honestly I think it's becoming far more common now. :)

Best off luck I hope u get ur positive soon.

Thank you so much everyone! Im not worried what people think and I dont think people near me will think anything bad about it. :) Mainly worried if we will be able to conceive

Congrats Jetina! ❤️

Im someone who likes to think and plan things way too early. Already thinking when I will test cause I know I will test even before my periods should start etc. And how exciting it would be to tell my mom Then again I think all these feelings and thoughts are totally normal.

I am about to turn 38 (in a few weeks) and I will be TTC as well :) We can encourage each-other!

Oh wow, yes! Good luck to you! Im now 38, will be 39 in the end of june.

I'll be ovulating in the end of the week. I can't wait! It's so crazy that all my life I've been careful not to get pregnant and this is the first time ever Im trying to get pregnant. I really hope it's not too late. I feel good and full of hope :)

Okey dokey, I'm on my two week wait. These two weeks will feel like years let me tell you! Or actually I was thinking that I'll wait ten days and then test :D

Do you usually do the tests by yourself or with your partner? I think I'll do them alone even tho it'd be exciting for him too.

Any good suggestions for movies, documentaries or youtube videos about pregnancy etc?

Fingers crossed to all in this thread. I'm 39 now, 40 at the end of the year and been TTC for a while... I've just had the surprise of my life, so wishing some of this luck on you girls as I've been in your shoes xx

Positive thoughts to everyone!

Hi! I haven't been on this forum for ages but logged back in as I wondered how the Coronavirus was affecting people's IVF treatment. Saw your post and had to reply because I was in your position, nearly 39 and just started TTC as I hadn't had the chance before. The good news is that I finally conceived at the age of 43. The bad news is that it was a very long, expensive and painful journey but I now have adorable 3 year old twin boys! I hope your journey is much easier!

Hubby agreed in January we could ttc for our third..hes 40 and I'm 39 in december.
I'm super lucky in that it's only ever taken us a few months to conceive but I was worried it would take longer now I'm older but no this morning I got a bfp and I'm sure you will too

Congratulations! Im on my 2 week wait after our first try. I think my ovulation was around saturday/sunday so its 4 dpo today. So still forever until we know how it went :D
I think it would be the biggest miracle if we got lucky right away tho. We'll see. Every month is a new chance.

It's fun to try. Dont stress it. It's always taken us at least 3 months of trying

I cant wait to know. This is our first round and already sick of this 2 week wait.

Im 9 dpo today. Tested this morning and no luck. I wish I could wait couple more days before I test again but it's so hard not to! :D

Anyways, Im feeling fine. It's obviously not the end of the world if I dont get pregnant on first try. Whats ment to happen will happen.

I've had symptoms but everything is what I have during pms too so its hard to tell (boobs hurt, headache, moody af, fatigue, bloating). Altho today I got this weird numb feeling back pain (left side lower back). Actually it's not even pain, more like tingly numbnessy kinda feeling. Makes me wanna massage it. Probly not an early pregnancy symptom tho :D
