I have not posted for a while but here I am in Tri 2 for the first time!

I'm so excited as I'm going to look at a nursery at 10am. It's a bit premature but the University's nursery has a really long waiting list for babies so I thought the sooner the better.

Eek, It's all getting very real

Oh hello you, fancy seeing you in here, lol!

Ive been looking at nurserys as well, just so I can arrange going back to work, money issues, etc, but I am ridiculously organised!
I have never enquired about waiting lists though - maybe I should check, how long are waiting lists normally?
Hope all is well with you xxxxx

I was looking on line yesterday at local nurserys. Just trying to get an idea of costs but did wonder how difficult it would be to get a place, especially because nurserys are only allowed to accept a certain number of 'babys' How organised do you think we have to be? I haven't really decided how many days a week I would like to go back to work (or should I say afford not to go back!) but don't want to be left struggling to find a place!

Well my nursery currently has a 1 year waiting list for babies under 18 months. I don't know how usual that is or if it is just because it is the University nursery and it is fairly small.

I'm really organised too!
Usually when you sign up for a nursery you put down when you want the place from so you can't really do it too soon. The really good ones do fill up quick though I think. I just wanted to get ahead because my nursery is right next to my office and I can practically look out of the window and see all the babies out playing - it's so cute.

Wow that sounds like the perfect nursery for you catty! V convenient - nice to see you in tri 2 it feels more homely now there are faces that I recognise coming through from tri 1 xx

It's a lovely nursery. I have no idea what date to put myself down for though. I don't really know how long I should have for maternity leave. I basically get full pay for 4 months so I will defintly take that and then it's half pay for 5 further months and I don't know how much of that to take.

I don't know any babies so have no idea when is a good age for them to start nursery. Any ideas?
