My MIL suggested getting on of these together for Stanley and I thought it was a great idea. I wanted to put things he liked such as old mobile phones/keys/TV remotes but she said it's supposed to be natural materials only and suggested wood/natural sponge etc.

Have any of you done one for your baby/child? What did you or would you put in it?

CD's are good, and those wooden backed, rubber bath massager things. A nail brush, a DVD box, I kept an empy wipes packet for ages cos Brody was obsessed with it!

It's just a box or a basket and you put some none-toy items in there to interest and entertain them. Different textures and colours and stuff.

Thanks for the tips, Urchin!

I'm glad the idea isn't generally that's it's ALL natural, Stanley is showing a real interest in technology :D

I'd stick anything in there you think he might like, you can laminate photos of people he knows (and round the edges off) for him to play with too.

Shells are great, although maybe when he's a bit older and does try to grind them up with his teeth *shudder* Brody has shells in the bath, he loves them.

Minxy do you have bubbles? Brody LOVES bubbles they are his favourite thing at the moment.
