Hey ladies

I have injured myself!! Not sure how I've done it but basically it feels like a trapped nerve/pulled muscle at the base of my back on one side, and I am in agony when I walk or put any weight on it. It's been 10 days now and no improvement...was wondering if anyone else had gone through a similar thing and if there is anything I can do to make it better?

I also wondered if it was SPD or if that is a different thing?

I was intending to do lots of walking to get my exercise but that isn't really possible so feeling a bit sorry for myself!

thanks

I over did my walking the other week and was in agony. Had really bad sharp pains in my pelvis area plus lower back. Mw said it could be spd... The only way I relieve the pain is lying down with lots of pillows. It may help... Have you told your mw about it? Oh my mw also suggested a gym ball to bounce on to relive pain aswell l xx

Thanks hun. I talked to MW and she said it was sciatica, but I think it is pelvic girdle pain: http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/antenatalhealth/physicalhealth/pelvicgirdlepain/

If anyone is in the same boat then I have found some antenatal pilates videos on youtube which are BRILLIANT. Really stretch everything out and has made a huge difference to me:

A little bit challenging but I just skip the bits that I can't manage. And I use bottles of water instead of weights as I don't have any!!
