Haha thanks for all your replies ladies!

I was worried I would be really embarrassed if it happened to me in labour but I suppose you're all right, midwives have seen it so many times before and get so used to it.

I also wanted a water birth but cringe at the thought of my poo floating past me haha! Or if the poo went on my baby haha x x

Omg I have been laughing - out loud - for a good 5 mins at this thread! Jd I am in bits at your post! Scoop it up with a jug!! I honestly don't know if I did or not , I'm going to assume I did but nothing was said! In the late stages of labour with all the screams and sweat and tears nobody even thinks about it! X x

Blimey Kate Middleton would have us all fooled though eh?! emerging looking absolutely stunning just hours after giving birth. Hard to imagine she may have pooped herself and was wearing big fat maternity pads? Bless her - Im moaning about having to face family and friends looking awful - she has to face the whole nation and have it captured by the paparazzi in the history books forever! Talk about pressure! She's amazing - A far cry from how I will look Im certain

Omg this is so funny, n unfortunately so true. I didn't poo or have the finger up the bum but I'm guessing I was lucky n might not b next time. Altho I can honestly say u really won't care at all at the time. Ad someone once said on here it's best to leave ur dignity at the door n pick it up on the way out!!

Wonder if poor Kate pooed in front of wills!!!

She did look stunning considering she had been in labour not long before! If she did poo hopefully she had more dignity than me when she did it - I was so off my face on gas and air and pethidine that I was screaming "Have I pooed? Don't lie to me I can smell it" lol x

Yes Kate looked amazing but I do feel sorry for her I can imagine she just wanted to go home with hair tied up and baggy comfy clothes on and no make up, instead a dress, heels, full face of make up and curly blow!!! X x
