TMI...Saliva question

Afternoon everyone

I havent been on here for ages. I jsut had a quick question if anyone can help me out with it!!!

I am due to ovulate anyday now i think and i am noticing that each month i get a couple of days of very clear, very thin, stretch saliva? Is this directly linked to ovulation? I do not really get much cervical mucus, so its hard to tell from that! I just wondered if anybody else knew if this was linked?

Hi, i have no idea about the saliva!! I am also about to ovulate-well according to the charts!! the only way i know that i may be ovulating is that i get cramps and get slightly bloated-but when i did a ovulation test this morning it didnt show anything. Im hoping that it will show i am ovulating tomorrow, otherwise i dont know about these cramps!!
How long have you been ttc?

Thanks for your reply hun. We have been thinking about if for a while but we have messed around and not tried properly ooops! this is the first month trying properly. Hopefully!hubby works away alot so its hard to physically try sometimes! I have been doing ovulation tests and am getting second lines but theyre not as dark as test line, wish i knew if this saliva is linked! Good luck. How long have you been trying xx

I am ovulating tomorrow according to opk although hoping mc hasn't played havoc with result! I always get more saliva at ov!

I have been trying for over a year and so far had no such luck-very fustrating as people arond me are getting preggars just like that! I only have one ovary, so have recently just undergone blood tests which were normal along with my partners. I did the ovulation test this morning and got a smiley face!! so the next 48hrs are crucial!

I tell you, it is soo fustraiting and things are never easy-positive thoughts!

-with regards to the ovulation test line, i dont think it needs to be darker than the refrence line, just similar and the fact that a second line showed up that shows you have LH in your system so ovulation must be soon.xx-

As far as I am aware I was told of the "ticky tacky test" anyone heard of that? So when you get the discharge which is stickier and stretchier than usual.....pick it up between your thumb and finger and stretch it a bit you will get to know the different consistency, when you can tell the difference it is most definately tackier and stretchier so thats when you get jiggery pokery.... thats what happens to me and a friend of mine and also doc recommended to try to tell that way. Fingers crossed for you (oh and my jargon is all my own and known on other sites ha ha) xxx

thanks gemini, does it still count though with saliva (in the mouth) rather than cm? i cant really tell by my cm when im ovulating! xx
