Hey girls lately ive had a tinge to my discharge. Got tested for strep B and thrush but nothing . Midwife said some times at the end it can be just the way i am. (Btw its a yellow tinge)

However today i have had like a dark orange/red tinge to my discharge which is worrying. My urine is very clear because i literally drink like a fish lol. So i know its not stained with urine or anything.... today however i have been having very painful "fanny daggers"... or lightening pain and feeling like the baby was gonna bust out. With that pain ive had backache and put it all down to bh. But have noticed although my little one is moving its not that much.

Maybe this is the body getting ready? I dunno but what i do know is with my first my discharge was very clear at end but this stuff has me all annoyed :( and worried ....

Any advice? Xx

Phone labour ward, see what they say?

Could be something starting up, could be plug coming away, or could just be one of those things.

Sorry I can't be more help hon xx

No problem laceykeo. Thank u for ur reply. Isnt it awful im terrified to phone the fetal assessment unit at our hosp cos the midwifes r bitches and hate d c u coming. Make u feel so small x

If baby isn't moving as much then you def shouldn't be afraid to call. I know what you mean though about being made to feel like your call is unwanted x

I would ring them, at the end of the day that is their job. If they don't like it then they are in the wrong profession. hun you and your baby are more important, if you are worried I would ring xx

I feel the same about calling, as when I got sent to the mat unit from a&e they were horrible.

I hope you get some answers soon though.

Thanks everyone gonna see how baby is this morning if still not moving as much then im gonna call. Havent had anymore of that kind of discharge again so will see how i feel thank u so much x

Get them phoned, its their job to look after you and baby, you shouldnt be made to feel bad for phoning or going in. Hope everything is ok xx

I could have written this post! Exactly the same this past week. Think it might be some sort of infection. Its also quite smelly. I went about 10 weeks ago thinking it was my waters but it could've been baby leaning on bladder so I'm very reluctant to go again even though the discharge has changed considerably. m also afraid to call, although my midwife is lovely. Im 35+3. Ive appointment Thursday so will mention it then. As for baby movements, I too thought they'd really quietened, but had a coffee and was moving away...just not as active as previous. My mum had a still birth when I was 16 and Im worried I'm overanalsing everything. This is my second...first is almost 6. I forget everything about first time :-). My first was 9.1lb, but had pneumonia when born, thinking lately it was strep B related so I'm due a check for that on Thursday too.

Thanks for the reply Jenny things have settled now...

Oh god Karen!... yeah i definitely think ur mums still born would make u over analyse but in a good way u can never be too careful.

Well the discharge was just the once yesterday and back to normal today... always loads of it but clear. I also am not having any pain today or shooting fanny daggers excuse the expression lol. So maybe was just that. Baby is quiet today again but still moving regularly enouggh.... which i know can happen as im 38 weeks tomorrow im thinking maybe its getting ready for the end haha. Preserving its energy.

I hope anyways. See too my discharge wasnt smelly atal i thought it wud be really bad because of the colour but smelled fine x

Bit of an update saw the midwife today who said that wud have been a bit of a show. So hopefully all going in the right direction x
