*TMI* can we talk about poop :/ *TMI*

So I'm eight weeks and six dayswith baby no. Two and I've been VERY constipated for the last few weeks when I do need to go I don't just feel like oh I need to poop I get horrendous tummy ache and have to sit on the toilet with a step or something under my feet so I raise my legs up and then I'm there for quite a while until my tummy ache is gone has anyone else had this problem this didn't happen with my first pregnancy

I suffer with ibs but it's been worse since I got pregnant. I now take a activa drink yogurt every day some times two one at breakfast one at lunch x

I've had this! I don't know if I had a bit of a bug, but I was getting very minimal warning that I NEEDED to go NOW, at about 6-7 weeks. That carried on for a few weeks and it's just been really infrequent and almost painful at times since! I did read that the progesterone is supposed to relax all your muscles, including the digestive tract, which slows everything down. At 13 weeks now it's starting to improve, if that's any consolation! Xx

I've been feeling very constipated (real bad stomach cramps) but when I go to the loo and sit there for a bit all of a sudden I'll have really horrible diarrhea...it's the strangest thing!! But I also have IBS so it might have something to do with that, I'm unsure.

Mermaidofmusic that's exactly what I have but I don't have ibs so it could just be a pregnancy thing

I'm having exactly this, constipation for a day or more and then a real urgent need to go and a very upset tummy! I'm only 4 and a half weeks put I am on progesterone so I don't know if that's contributing! Xx

It's horrible isn't it thankfully it hasn't happened when I've been out and about just at home I hope it goes away soon for us all

Im glad im not the only one, im experiencing this too, thought i might have a bug or something. havent been in a few days, but knew i needed to go. Just had a curry followed by an orange to try make me go, then had tummy ache and diarrhea. Glad ive been but its not nice! Im nearly 8 weeks and had this once a week for the last 3 week.

Oooof I am constipated too and I didn't have that last time. Increasing fluid intake and fibre may help. I hope so as my tummy hurts watch out for piles too, had internal ones last time and the bleeding was scary.
I actually experienced diarrhoea last time and had to give a sample to the Dr and everything (that is not a pleasant experience!) But it was just a random pregnancy symptom. The joys!

Yeah whoever said pregnancy is beautiful clearly never had this problem hope it gets better for us all soon
