how do i know if my eldest does actually have a tight foreskin?
i know that sounds a silly question, but i know that not all foreskins can be retracted when they are little.

i haven't been trying to pull it back but in the bath tonight i told him to wash his own willy and explained to him that he needs to make sure the hole is clean because thats where his pee comes out of. i tried to pull it back gently just to see if it did retract, and it wouldn't move at all. i couldn't retract it even a little bit.

should i just leave it? it doesnt cause him any problems at all

I tried to get Cameron to clean his when he was about 7 and he couldnt pull it back. I had been told just to leave it and it wasnt necessary to clean young boys like that.

I took him to the doctors and he said it was a little tight and had adhesions. Pretty much suck to his willie because it hadnt been moved..

Said he was to try every night in the bath to pull it back a little, or he would be circumsised.

Have to say CAmeron was so terrified of the thought he managed to pull it back on the first night , and very proudly every night after that ( i had to go thru so he could show me).

So all in all if your worried ask him if he can, if not get him cheked at docs

i often go into him at night and find him with his hands down his pyjama's.

yeah i'll ask him to have a go. i know they dont need to clean underneath but as its possible to pull it back slightly with my youngest i might go get him checked. can do no harm can it

Hey hun, hope you don't mind me replying as I obviously dont have a boy so no experiance, but I was reading "Mother & Baby" this morning and spotted this and remembered your thread...

Boys Stuff
Wipe and wash away down below but leave the foreskin well alone. It is not ready yo retract for a good few years - until he is around three to five - and some boys' bits won't move until they are in their teens.
So for now just rinse around it and concentrate on cleaning those creases and crevices.

Hope that helps a little

thanks for that. i think i'll still mention it to the health visitor but im sure it's probably fine!
