Was at triage this evening and the doctor told me I have thrush and need to use the pessary but not the applicator.

I've just put it in and tried to get it as high as I possibly can but it was so difficult. Worried it's just stuck or something!!! Am I overreacting? xx

Yes I've used it twice, Urgh! Just push it up like you would a tampon... I was worried the first time but second time didn't give it much thought! It'll be fine xxx

I went to pharmacist who refused to sell me a pessary as she said it would loosen my cervix!!!
Spoke to GP on the phone today who has prescribed me a pessary!! WTF!!

That's terrible holly and sounds completely made up?! They have to be prescribed in pg which is annoying but that's total misinformation from the pharmacist!?

what the....

as long its not oral medication, its perfectly acceptable.

"Loosen the cervix" WOW.

Well I must have a really loose cervix as I've used about 5 this pregnancy!!!!

Pessary is totally safe. Oral fluconazole is not safe for pregnancy

I took one just last night!

Never before had a pill to insert down below.

I'd rather have a loosened cervix than suffer with a pizza looking vag! sorry tmi but i suppose you know what I mean by that. so sore!

Haha you have made me laugh out loud! Typically since getting the meds it has cleared up. Will be keeping them for next time though xx
