Thrush, mastitis or normal?

My lo is 3 weeks old- for last couple of days my boobs almost have a burning sensations inbetween feeds but right at the top of my breasts rather than the nipple- kind of burning but also sharp pain at times- not sure how to describe it! I have a lot of milk and seem to be constantly leaking- is the pain due to fast let down/ my boobs filling backvup orcshould I be worried- cant seem to get warm in evenings despite hearing on but that's nothing particularly unusual for me! X

sounds like the amount of milk your making is causing the pain, i think i have a similar pain when my lo hasnt fed in a while. It should get better when your milk supply settles. Mastitis is really painful and you will feel like you have the flu im not sure about thrush as ive never had it before x

I had tingly itchy boobies around 3 weeks and wasn't sure what it was. It eased when my milk settled. Like you it wasn't around the nipple, but on top of the boob and they felt hot to the touch for a week or so. I don't know if it was anything but it went away.
