I've picked up an excellent condition jumperoo off gumtree (couldn't justify the full price) ready for whenever we need it just wondered How early did you start putting your LOs in it? I know it says 6 months but I've heard some people start sooner, my LG is 8 weeks and has good strength in her legs already and not bad head control, not quite strong enough to use yet, just wondered what other people done, Obviously going to wait a few more weeks anyway.

We bought ours at 4months, she had great head control and loved it. Friends used there's earlier than that.

Ive just bought the spacesaver jumperoo and our lil miss 4 months saturday, its not age that counts really its head control and interest in putting weight on feet, our lil miss has recently started grinning and chuckling when put her on her feet and has been practising sitting for quite long periods and so think she is ready, getting it tonight to test tomorrow - cant wait!

I started putting my son in it at around 4 months, but he also loved lying on the floor in front of it and watching the lights and stuff x

As soon as they can hold their head up themselves. We put our lo in it at about 4 months, his head was a bit to one side so just had him in it for a few minutes until he got stronger. By 6 months he was bouncing away. Have fun xx

my daughter started going in hers at 4 months when her head was stronger and she could hold it up.

Thanks ladies, I did think around 4 months would probably start. The lady I bought it off said she used a cushion with her LO in the start so her child could reach the floor. Can't wait to be able to use it, never knew I would be so excited about toys. :)

We used ours from 4 months as she had excellent head control. I popped a cushion underneath and also a rolled up blanket between her and the front of the seat as she was a tiny little dot and would try and lunge at the toys etc and she just had too much room lol x

I'm sure looking outside of what everyone else has done it's not just neck control but also muscles in the back, hips and all those things so you really have to judge your little one's strength to see if they would do well in one of them.. My son loved his walker for a couple of months from about 5 months and I have a strong lad all he wanted to do was get up and go, he crawled by 6mo so when we felt he was ready we took him to the shops to try one.

I would say if you think your little one is ready then use it for small periods of time, use pillows on the floor so their legs don't dangle and like other's have said in the actual seat to prop it up so baby doesn't go flying. Sometimes in cases where a child has clubfoot (usually are seen by a physio, they are not recommended to go in one) so in cases with medical conditions always consult a physician before use.

Well I have just had our lil miss in the spacesaver jumperoo and she was a bit baffled but she reached for the dangly toys, touched the rolling ball that activated the lights and moved her feet a bit, like others have said I had a large pillow underneath for her feet and a small pillow behind her neck, she wasnt sick and seemed to find it interesting, only in for 10mins but I tell you what the seat part is cosy if you have a chubby thigh and tummy baby lol....getting out is quite hard...anyways no smiles yet but also no tears, lets c how she gets on...

ok she has been in about 4times now 5-10mins per time and the fourth time we got a smile from her, she just has a look of bafflement on her face and is very curious about her surroundings lol...the cushion behind her/under her feet help a lot. Only a tiny bit of foot movement no jumping yet but plenty of playing with the toys in front of her....lol
