I’m 32 weeks pregnant and had 2 scans one at 20 weeks and one before that at 16 weeks both said girl so everything we have is pretty much girl stuff just a few white baby grows, even my pram is purple. Well her heart beat is around 136bpm and only been in the 150s twice I’ve read that anything under 140 means it’s a boy.. now I’m panicking that I’m carrying a boy when we have got so in love with her as a her and bought everything for a girl I’ve been looking at all scans and there’s nothing between her legs but what if she’s packing a small winky? Have your heartbeats been less than 140 and still came out a girl?

I'm definately having a girl and her heart rate goes between 130 and 140.
It's an old wives tale x

Heart rate varies the whole time. It is effected by many factors like if the baby is active or sleeping and how many weeks it is. I think the theory is that on average a boys heart rate is slightly lower than a girls so a lower heart rate makes it slightly more likely to be a boy but it's a bit like trying to guess a baby's gender at birth by their weight. On average boys are bigger but you are not going to say a baby with girly bits is a boy just because she is bigger than average for a girl. Of course occasionally they make a mistake about gender with a scan but at 20 weeks as long as they get a good look it should be pretty reliable. And you have had two scans that said the same.

I was bigger than my brother when we was born I was 6lb 14 and my brother was 6lb 4 I was 2 weeks late and my brother was a week early xx

Im having a boy... His heart rate is exact same as my girl 156. Just old wives tales.

I'm defo having a boy,it was obbvious in 2 scans lol but his heart rate is always 155-160 so the old wives tale would say girl. Take it with a pinch of salt,if both scans said girl then you'll be having a girl xx

When I was pregnant with my daughter her heart beat was well over 140! Was 150 at 16 weeks :) confirmed sex at 17 weeks! But mirroring what others have said that heart rate really has no determination on the sex of the baby! It's just a bunch of old wives tales! Sometimes it's just coincidence that it's true for people (yes I'm negative  ) good luck and I hope you get your daughter

All 3 of my pregnancies would have said boy if I'd gone by that particular wives tale (I have 1 boy and 2 girls lol)

Thanks ladies just getting really paranoid at moment xx

I think if it were a boy you would definitely know about it, it was very obvious on our 16 weeks scan that our little bundle is a boy, and there was definitely no hiding it at the 20week either lol! If you have been told she's a girl and you cant see any evidence otherwise I would say your pretty safe :)
