There is probably already a thread about this but I thought it might be useful to have a thread about cm. What do the different amounts, colour and consistency mean with regards to your cycle? Anybody know??
I know it can be stretchy, thick, watery, white, creamy, opaque, snot like (hate that word:x) but what do they all indicate??

Thanks girls xxx

Stretchy= Ovulation but i also used to get this just before my period too. Thats all i know i think lol. x

Just after AF you would normally get scanty amounts of thick white CM or sometimes none at all. This is non fertile CM and sperm cannot swim easily through it and so it basically kills them... LOL. Prior to OV it should go more wet, stretchy, thin and clear/sometimes tinged white - like raw egg whites. This is fertile CM and shows you that OV is either happening or just around the corner. It's easy for the swimmers to get through cos its thin etc. After OV it usually dries up and goes back to thick white CM which is sticky and non fertile. This can also be creamy/lotion type CM.

Everyone is different hence all the different types but you'll find it generally is less cm and not very sperm friendly before and after ov. In between, it can go from thick stretchy CM to thinner stretchy CM etc.

Hope that helps. :) x x

Just look out for the egg white stretchy stuff, then you know you're good to go :)

Last month i had textbook CM, creamy white then had EWCM only the day before and day of OV and then back to creamy.
