But im still not 100% sure for a number of reasons. But with my sickness and tiredness i feel like i have no choice. Has anyone else been in this situation? Did everything work out ok? x x

I told my line manager very early but he was great, I dont thinking I could have done without telling him cause I needed time off because of the sickness and extra appointments.

I always told work asap cos then they're aware of any extra risks (I was a care assistant so didn't deal with unpredictable clients wen pg) it's always better if they know y ur feeling so crappy xx

With my last pregnancy I was still in the armed forces so had no choice because of the hundreds of risks but I just told my management so I wasn't put in any difficult situations and they were really helpful considering I worked in an all male environment. This time has been great as I work for myself so can work when I want to.

Hey M2A

Yea I was the same as you.. Unsure but I had to because I was so I'll a d sick. I went off sick at the end of January when I was 5 weeks I'm now 12 weeks stillhvent been back because im still I'll.

Best off telling them I reckon ! X

yeah i told work early so i could stop the heavy lifting and working by myself in a very quiet shop. it just seemed right to tell them early and they sorted out all the things i was conserned with.

Im still undecided, i dont want any one guessing and if i carry on with this sickness.
When i had my mmc everyone couldnt of been more supportive so im not worried in that sense its just i dont want to tempt fate x x

i'm sure telling work will be fine. I told them the week I found out as I work in an environment where chemicals and materials are fairly hazardous to me let alone to bump, so my manager and company doctor where one of the first people to know. Good luck with whatever you decide xx

I feel the same M2A...

Was in a meeting at 7am this morning and had to leave suddenly because I had to go and be sick. Today is the first time I have been actually sick. Up until now I have just felt sick....

I am unsure if I should tell my boss yet..... Am going to try and hold off as long as I can.... but if I was being sick like this morning all the time then I think I would have to tell work....

Im not keeping anything down again at the minute, ive tried dry toast this morning from the canteen and that didnt work :(
Im just sat here waiting for that feeling, i cant consentrate on work or anything else. Hope your feeling better soon hunny x x

Trying toast with margerine on it at the moment. but not sure I am going to get through it.... Have to go into another meeting now so fingers crossed the toast stays down....

They should bring a new law in that lets pregnant women take week 6 to 12 off... would make it so much easier....

want to crawl back into bed....

Hi M2A, Ive had to tell my supervisor and my close work colleague as they wanted to extend my shifts and change things around and we have events on all week and I felt so tired and dizzy etc. They were lovely and my shifts have stayed the same and Ive been let off some duties to be safe as I work in catering. Id tell them just for your safety and bubbas :)
X

hey m2a i told my manager with my last pregnancy really early as i was really sick, i haven't this time. The good thing about you telling them now is that where u r feeling really sick all the time if you had to have time off, they would understand better. what do you do job wise?
let us all know what u decide. sorry your still feeling very sick x

I decided to go ahead and tell work and one of the girls i worked with started crying, she was so pleased for us :)
Looks like im going to get mothered though, but its lovely that they all care x x

I told my work on Friday cos I felt bad for all the appointments I would be going for, at least now they know why. Plus, I didn't tell my work early for my 1st pg and they ended up finding out from one of my collegues as I started bleeding and rushed off so when I was pg with Lennon I told them straight away just in case I needed to rush off again.

I haven't told my work yet but plan to in the next 3-4 weeks or so. part of that reason is because I'm about to get a pay rise and think that if I tell them it will give them ammunition to stall the process. and considering ive been working up to this moment for the last 18 months or so i'd rather not risk telling them now.

I know they are not supposed to discriminate etc etc but as far as im concerned thats exactly why it shouldn't make any difference if i tell them before or after my rise.

So really hun, I think everyone is different and if your circumstances allow for it, go for it!

:) xx

I had only told the girl I work with because I had been feeling so sick, was hoping to wait until 12 week scan before telling boss but then ended up having to tell her as got signed off last week. Was actually glad I'd told her in the end as she's been great and has taken some of my workload off me as I was getting very stressed. So lovely that your friend at work cried! Aww sounds like they're really happy for you x x
