Its been a bit poorly looking for a while now. Just scruffy looking. It did have fungus but i treated that. Last week it just went really fat, like somebody had pumped it up. Its not pregnant- i think its a blockage. I have been semi-starving them (have 2 fish the other is fine) and only feeding them every 3 nights. This morning it is just sitting at the bottom of the tank. :(

UPDATE:

The fish is fine now, back to normal. I gave it a cooked pea and it seemed to do the trick so thanks to whoever suggested that :D Its scales look a bit disheveled (sp) but thats because they came apart a bit when it was fat.

Maybe it was just a huge fish fart

Awww the poor fishy. I used to be a member of a fish keeping forum, is you want I could pm you with the site. They are really good at helping out with questions like this.

Have you tried to feed him blanched peas? Apparently thats good for clearing out their system.

You should put it in another tank or the other fish will get sick too. Is it lurking at the bottom or does it seem to have sunk? It sounds a bit like swimbladder :(

Awww i hate watching poorly fish - it kinda freaks me out :( Hope it recovers

Def separate the sick one, as depending what it is, the other fish could get it. also easier to treat separately.
Hope it gets better, hun

Ha! That's so funny! I HATE watching fish dying. It really freaks me out! I thought I was the only one!

I read somewhere too that a pea in the tank is good.

Our goldfish went to the big tank in the sky last month. He'd got all swollen too. The pet shop said it might have been overfeeding.

How is the fish by the way

I'm so glad your fish is ok now. I really hate seeing any living creature suffer! I wonder why peas help
