Maia wakes usuall around 2 or 3 am and then again at 5 or 6 am depending on what time she was last up for feeding.

When she wakes at 5 or 6 she finds it hard to get back to sleep when I put her back donw and will either make lots of noise in her moses basket and eventually fall back off after about an hour or so or she will cry and want to be picked out so I sit with her in the nursing chair and we just cuddle and rock till she falls back to sleep again usually after an hour or so. Then she wakes about and hour after finally getting off to sleep to feed again!!!!

The past few mornings when she starts to stir I have put her in bed with me and hubby on just the mattress and I have moved the covers well out of her way as she wears a gro-bag. I fed her as soon as shes in bed with us and she stays sound asleep and doesnt wake. We've slept till 9:00am each time she slept with us!!!!

Im so glad this seems to work for us, I was getting really frustrated with her at times when she would cry and not go back down, plus not to mention the lack of sleep I was suffering, but all is good.............................................for the moment

Sounds exactly like what i do with DD

Yep i bring Calleigh into bed with me for her first feed then she drops off for a few more hours its great :D

Now that sounds like an idea... Corey never goes back down easily after his 5am feed (though, he goes to sleep at 8pm and ONLY wakes at 5am for a feed). Maybe if I poped him in bed with me I might get him back down quietly til 8am, as he feeds 3hourly during the day. Worth a try if it works for you guys

I do the same. I only lay her with me at 6am, as i'm not a light sleeper. But the morning i put her in at 5.30, the scooped her back and put her in her moses at 6am. I got up to make OH pack-up at 6.50, fed her and put her next to me, 10.30 i snuck up for a shower!!! Loved the lie-in.
