So my shopping trip was very successful I now have all the baby essentials to pack baby's hospital bag (when the time comes) and I've got enough to do us the first few days until we get a splash of colour I got all newborn, 6 sleep suits, 7 vests, a long sleeved vest, 6 pairs of scratch mits, 3 muslin squares, 5 bibs and my mum got baby a going home from hospital outfit - a sleep suit with matching hat and reversable jacket. I'll also have a knitted shawl and cardis to add to that. Feeling like I've achieved something now xx

Have you considered your baba may not fit in newborn size clothes? All the first clothes we bought were either up to 1 month or 0-3 months! You might have a slightly bigger baba that doesn't fit in newborn xx

The baby would have to be very big to go into up to 1 month at birth. My first was 8lbs 11 which is considered pretty heavy, and also long and newborn still swamped him. He didn't go into up to 1 month until he was 4 weeks. 0-3 is huge and we didn't use until 6-8 weeks. My second was 7lbs 4 and in tiny baby for a few weeks. I'd def get some newborn

My boy was probably the exact same timeline with clothes hoping. I don't think he was in 0-3 months until he was 3 months! xx

Those knitted cardigans are gorgeous!

We've got the going home outfit and I've got a a few other sleepsuits, think 4 in total but that's it. I'm really trying to moderate it as with DS I ended up with 16 sleepsuits and 24 vests in 0-3 - something like that! I found everyone bought him outfits and then I felt I had to get wear out of them all so he didn't wear many of the things I got.

Still have all baby furniture so will be buying DS new things. Also still have my pram which although I like the pram, I have a thing about prams and really want a new one! Can't justify the money though as they really don't hold their value.

If there was one I would really recommend it's the baby jogger city mini (GT is the best model) as as soon as baby is 6months I find most people want a buggy and it's really substantial and you don't have the faff with it being in 2 parts x

This is the cot we got as well. Apart from nappies and wipes we've not got anything else but it's a start! Xx

I have bought 3 outfits, a set of bottles (Mam ones), a cold water sterilizing bucket and a few packs of nappies!! I had cot and all that from last time, clothes, prep machine and snuzpod so to be honest this time round will be less fuss re buying! Having 2nd boy so more or less everything can be re used. X

I have gone abit OTT, i got a 70% gender guess and have gone out and purchased ALOT of baby boy clothes. Going to hold off now until the gender is 100%
Also got a chicco next to me crib in grey as i intend on breast feeding and have heard excellent things about the crib.
Will buy all the consumables such as bottles and sterilizers next month.
I am so excited i can not waiiiiitttt!!
