The other day I mentioned that sometimes there's a reason for everything, and that each month I try to think of the good bit of not being pregnant that month...

I just found out that my 13 year old son will be due for another operation in the next 6 months. This means he has to use a wheelchair for at least 2 months after. (he's currently wondering if he can use it at the skate park instead of his board...extreme wheelchairing anyone? :D )

If I had got pregnant three months ago when we started TTC - I would be due around the same date as he is due for his op. If I get pregnant any time from now it'll all be over and done with. So there's my good reason for not being pregnant atm :)

what a fab way of looking at it!

If I had got pregnant when we first started TTC I wouldnt have the job I have now or be entitled to any maternity pay/leave when I do get pregnant!

oooh thats good, I like your style :D

Hope it goes well with your son

If i was pregnant now i wouldnt be able to go surfing in june. Only a minor thing but im really excited! Would have preferd to be pregnant but at least i will get something in that i wont be able to do till next year.

If I was pregnant now I wouldnt be able to drink at my OH's up coming engagement party (I will be O'ing around that time but I'm gonna drink anyway, stuff it). And it's my 21st in june and were going to see Ozzy live at wembley and if I hadnt of m/c then I defo wouldnt be able to go there, I would of been about 35 weeks  . I know I would rather be pregnant than do any of those but they are the only things I can think of

the thing is that we would all rather be pregnant ..but if we're not we may as well look for the good things, so we have concerts and surfing and maternity pay...things we'll be able to look back on when we get that bfp, get so big we can't move and are lying bored on the sofa watching daytime tv.. :D

Yeah your right, from now on I'm gonna think about good things. I may never have another oportunity to go to an Ozzy concert and me and my dad (yes I'm going with my daddy and mummy and OH, we are all fans) have been wanting to watch him live for ages. And I'm only going to turn 21 once and it is on the concert is on the exact same day as my birthday so it will be brilliant. And every month I'm not pregnant gives us more time to save up etc so thats a good thing too.

What a great way of thinking of things, im sure things will happen when the time is right! x

I like this thread! OOh Ozzy how cool, bet you will have a wicked time! Im jealous!! Im going to see Meatloaf on the 25th May with Mum, Dad, Brother and Sister. Not quite as cool  but we grew up on it

If i had got pregnant when we were ttc for the first time a while back i wouldnt have finished my degree and got the good job i have now :cheer: Umm just got af as well so if i had got pregnant this month i wouldnt have been able to go camping this weekend and have loads of BEER :cheer: :cheer:

oh god, i did and was suffering with morning sickness so much we left after one day

at the end of the day - we're only human.

This morning (for no really good reason) I cried because my OPK came up negative...and??? so I ovulate tomorrow or sunday instead :? But it felt like a good reason at the time

But once a month I get to do a one hour drive up the motorway where my husband gets the pleasure of doing the turkey baster thing (no - it's not really a turkey baster..) no BDing for us! Lie on a bed for 30 mins with my legs in the air and nothing to do except inspect my cellulite from a new angle and then one hour back down the motorway.

You either laugh or cry don't you... :D
