There was me walking around all smug as i havn't had any pain etc, and suddenly my hips are killing me, i'm waking in the night with them aching and no amount of moving will sort it, i also think Tally is trapping a nerve somewhere as i keep getting siatic nerve pain, it goes all the way down my bum and sometimes stops me in my tracks. And i've also had some wierd numb, tingly pain around that area, but again that got so bad i was making noises walking around!!

I'm praying this pain is due to the camping and will go when i've recovered from it, none of the pain is related to Tally's escape, if it was it'd be more tolerable, but this just seems fruitless.

I also had to get Dave to rub my back when we got home yesterday but again, the pain isnt low down it was just below my bra line and above my bump band line.

I can see myself getting a little fed up soon lol, i was hoping to just take it as it comes but if she's going to be hurting me i may have to get out the pinapple and other eviction methods!!!

I think you have entered pain Train Station. The pain train hasn't come for you yet....But you now have the cramps and pains while you wait :(

Really hope it gets better for you chick

 My hips hurt too can only lie on one side for about half hr then they go numb, it's a nightmare at night time  Hope Tally moves for you if shes on a nerve and the pain eases. xx Did you have a good weekend camping?

I'm not sure if this will work for you, but I have a bump wedge from Mothercare and sometimes when it is too painful to lay on my sideI will lay on my back, then wedge that pillow underneath my bum so I am tilted and can still breathe and not get dizzy. It's a little trick I learned from being a auxillary nurse with *ahem* very overweight people....

I have been getting pains lately and sleeping is a nightmare. I feel like an old woman in bed as i cant lay a certain way for more than about 30 mins max as my bones and joints feel like they are going to crumble! They feel so sore and bruised and really ache i feel like i should be about 80 years old as thats what all my bones feel like. Ive also had the paim above my bump bit, im not sure what it was but it faded after a while. I tried sitting up really straight and massging it. I was desperate for a hot water bottle on it as this usually helps with everything else but i wasnt sure if it was safe or not so i suffered instead :(
Hope it gets better for you

I was the same way....feeling very smug that I hadn't had much pain and still had lots of energy, but the last two days my tail bone has been killing me and I toss and turn all night unable to get comfortable. Thank goodness I only have 2 more weeks left at work......I'm beginning to wonder if I'll make it. It just hit me all of a sudden. :(

I used to suffer with sciatica a lot. I found that sleeping with a thick pillow between my knees (assuming you sleep on your side) really helped at night. Another thing you can do is a massage with a tennis ball (I'm not sure how easy it is at 36wks) Sit on the floor with your knees slightly bent and place the ball under your bum at the point where you get the sharp pain going into the hip. You'll need to tilt towards the ball to and roll back and forth over it. It really gets into the socket an loosens it up. It worked well for me.

   hope you get some relief - it really is horrible pain!

Aww thanks everyone, it's good to hear that it's a totally normal pain, i just wish it was more pain to do with making an appearance lol.

I usually sleep with 3 extra pillows, one between my legs and one on each side, and i usually end up resting my back on one and bump on the other, being camping i only had the one extra one so the lack of support may have agrivated it.

Reading about everyone elses pain makes me feel like im moaning about nothing lol!! Not long now though i guess

Aww  Hope your pain eases now that you are back in a proper bed with the usual amount of pillows :D
