the mother of all poos (cleaning help needed)!

yesterday millie had a poo, after 4 days of clean nappies.
and OMG what a poo it was! it soaled thru the nappy, and reached her neck- front AND back!!!
she needed a bath and one sleepsuit and one towel had to be boil washed!

the problem is- at the time i was in the shower, there was noone else in the house so i had her in the car seat in the shower room.

so the car seat had poo juice on it! it wasnt actual curry paste, just a big damp patch, and even when i wiped it with a baby wipe the wipe was not stained yellow. so it seems clean, but it cant be, its poo juice after all!

i dont kno what to clean it with, my mum said vinegar and ammonia, but i couldnt find any ammonia inthe shops and when i asked at the dry cleaners they warned me ammonia is dangerous it has fumes.

what can i use thats not irritable to little baby skin?

I would suggest biological washing powder, the enzymes break down the biological particles.

Or working with your mums thinking you could use bicarb of soda (as an alternative to ammonia) with vinigar, although the two together really pong

does the car seat cover come off? i put mine in wash machien on a gentle cycle
