Thought for abit of fun Id ask a few simpke questions Ive been pondering...nothing too serious just bein inquisitive.....

1)
Who gets dressed in the day? Puts make up on etc? Does anyone stay in their pjs till laye? wat works for u? showerin the night before while OH there so no need in the morning? im lookinv for suggestions for an eadier life with craig startin back at wrk tday.

2)
Do u/will u have ur own individual 'allowances' whilst on mat leave..for saving...gifts...personal bits? we r havin 200 a mnth but ill prob save mine for a hol n hubby will indulge in his classic car...do u tnk its fair we have the same amount even tho im mot wrking? i do feel bad...but this baby lark is a full time job eh?

3) wats everyone doin for mothers day....I bet craig totally forgets im a mum now....n seein as ive bought his mums cards n gift for the past4yrs...theres a slim -none chance Ill get anything.

We generally get up and if oh is still at home he looks after lo while I shower. If not its in the bouncy chair and in the bathroom with me. I make sure I get dressed but make up or dry hair are luxuries that don't happen very often

I think its nice you both get play money! Really good idea and its completely fair you get the same amount!

I've organised mothers day this year , we're all going out for lunch so I know I get a treat

1- depends what I'm doing.if I'm going out, dressed and make up. If I'm staying in I shower and change into 'day pyjamas' or a velure tracksuit. I find If I do this im less lazy and helps me feel 'ready' for the day.
2 - I pay my OH a little bit towards rent food etc but the rest of my maternity pay/ child benefit I keep. If I or baby need anything I just have to ask.
3 - I brought myself perfume on Saturday that OH paid for (wasn't the plan but was on offer) apparently I'm getting flowers and a card too.

I've been taking Kynon into the bathroom with me when I shower for months now. At first i would leave him in his little chair asleep but once i started nappy off time I just leave him on his mat with nothing on to kick about and he loves being naked, think I have a little naturest!
We have the same money each as looking after a baby is far harder work than any job remember!

1. I try to grab a quick shower while she's still sleeping, or do it the night before. DH leaves too early for me to do it in the morning. I only wear underwear to bed, so I need to put on something - even if its day pjs, although I usually try for at least a tracksuit.

2. We live off DH's wages, mine are so small in comparison we save it for rainy day money so maternity pays not any different for us. I only work part time normally, so even without baby I feel that keeping the house counts as work, plus we're a team so share everything anyway.

3. I'd been telling DH he better remember for a couple of weeks, cos I always do his mums, he cheated and got me a card and an Easter egg last Sunday incase he forgot lol. Been telling him to book somewhere for lunch, cos we generally go for lunch after church with his folks anyway - but I dunno if he'll get round to it. Xxx

Ok...so maybs Ill adopt the 'take baby in the bathroom idea'...sounds good. I also have a toh poodle yo occuoy which will b interesting.
Anyone else have a dog too?

Today though..with it being the first dsy on my own...I think Im going to stay in bed with Jrtemy Kyle n This morning n rest my achey muscles...got visitors weds_fri. xxx

I tried having a lazy day last week, didn't really work very well. Lol. G chose that day to be a pest with feeding. She does much better when we're out or have visitors lol. Gonna try to be lazy tomorrow though, see if we get on better. Xxx

Btw - did u get your lazy day?? G and I ended up going for a walk to the shops after which I felt kinda energised, so did a heap of washing and ironing. Lol. Xxx

I stay in pjs as long as possible and put make up and clothes on before OH comes home, then a few hours later the pjs go back on lol. It's not cos of the new baby it's how I always am. I shower whenever I can and find a dunk in the bath is often quicker especially when it comes to washing and rinsing thick hair like mine.

I just spend as little as possible and hope I can make it stretch.

If I get a card I'll be lucky and I have 2 kids!!

yep l....I had a lazy day.. was lovley in one way...but also...I dnt think stayn in pjs all day is good for the soul..lol..i felt abiy grotty by 6...ha.
gunna do it again tday tho as im dead busy the rest of the wk with mw..hv...n friends visiting xx

On the days I actually have the time to be lazy ie no visitors etc, I seem to be full of energy, then the days I have no energy Georgia doesn't co-operate with my laziness plans. Lol. Xxx

I try to get dressed if I can as it makes me feel better, but some days that doesn't happen. Make up doesn't usually get put on tho.
I think we are entitled to same share of cash as OHs - this 'looking after the baby' lark is a full on 24/7 job!
No plans for mothers day... Maybe I'll get a surprise!!

Got HV calling for first visit today... So suppose I should make a bit of an effort to clear a space for her to sit down... Currently all chairs are covered in washing and the like! Not sure what to expect from the visit.

Emily is asleep in my arms, but every time I go to settle her in her basket she wakes and grizzles...

I get dressed everyday with make up and hair done apart from Sunday's generally unless we are going out. I used to make sure Sophie had had a feed, waited till she had gone to sleep and then went and got myself sorted. Now I get her up, get her changed and dressed and put her under her playmat which then gives me enough time to have a shower, do my hair and get dressed before she wants a bottle. I do make up once she's had that bottle and then we are both ready to leave .

Allowances, I get the child benefit every month which I'm currently trying to save for stuff for Sophie's room and I've got a few people's new baby presents to come out of the money in April

Mothers day - I think it's just going to be like any other Sunday
