I think there are two types of cretins 1. those that are way to dumb to realise that the man is kissig his wife - but the ad is showing that with this mayo its like having a proper deli chef in your kitchen, and 2. those that are so unsure of their sexuality, any sign of affection between two men makes them uncomfortable

I love the ad, it makes me laugh

I wondered which advert they were on about when i heard this, i cant beleive people are offended by that tbh!
Even if you totally disregard what beanie explained about the actual "message" of the advert it's not a full on pash, its a peck, the kinda thing girls do to each other all the time, in fact its not far off how Dave's mum says goodbye to me, i'd hardly be offended or say she was being sexual!

Just goes to show maybe we need MORE expossure to same sex relationships! It's not uncommon, my next door neighbours are a married gay couple.

I heard this on radio 2 at work. Its like 2 seconds of a peck! The people writing in were saying they couldnt possibly have their child subjected to such gay pornography (it was actually only on after the watershed anyway)TBH id rather have my kid know what being gay is and means (even tho that isnt actually the point of the ad) and not to make out its a massive taboo and throw my toys out the pram. I mean who wasted paper writing to complain??? What if their poor child turns out to be gay and thinks they cant tell their parents cos they are so homophobic that they go to the effort of getting a commercial banned for a 2 second peck that has nothing to do with being gay!!!! ArggghhhH!!! and relax...

Good advert tho :rotfl:

apparently its not been banned, heinz have just pulled it. this is what someone called andybhoy said on another forum i posted this on

The advert hasn't been banned - it's been withdrawn by Heinz. They're probably rubbing their hands together with glee at the extra publicity.

I don't doubt folk have complained - but there's no way the complaints would have been upheld or the advert banned. I also don't believe more than a few fruitcakes would have stopped using Heinz products - so I'm more angry at Heinz than any small minded fools.
