Have you see the latest one where the lady delicately takes her Gaviscon with a spoon and the little firemen put out the fire in her belly!

I was just commenting to my hubby that it surprised me that anyone takes it with a spoon! :rotfl: :rotfl: Mine gets swigged out the bottle!

Oi!!! I use a spoon! (well ok....only at work so I don't look too common!!) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I remember when I first got diagnosed with Crohns... I was just chatting to my digestive consultant about my heart burn (get it with Crohns too... just not as bad)... and we started talking about the HUGE bottles of gaviscon that we so delicately took with a teaspoon when we first started getting Heartburn only to then drink the stuff... like a homeless person drinking bourbon..

I thought that she would have thrown a wobbly about it being a doctor and all.. but she was laughing with me... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I also know that my GP hasn't ever had kids... I was trying to get her to prescribe me a bottle of Almax (Spanish Gaviscon but worse) and she just kept saying that the little pre dosed packets were more convenient because I didn't need to mess around with teaspoons in the middle of the night :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: AS IF I'D USE A TEASPOON!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: She didn't seem to understand...

Swigging it is definitely best...which reminds me, I've run out...must remember to get some more.

I always use a spoon dont know why really

Why not? The back of my Gaviscon Cool tablets says:
"You CAN take this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding" I always have a box in my handbag for eating out.

the chemist told me I couldn't have them.... I'm going to buy some now cos that liquid makes me heave!!!

I have the little sachets of gel... I can pretend I'm a marathon runner stocking up on some much-needed glucose around mile 18...

I find the liquid more effective than the tablets. Hits the parts the tablets can't reach!!!
