I knew they would rear their ugly heads and I also know that in a week to 10 days they will be gone again BUT in the mean time, I am blessed with 2 rather sore piles from pushing Sid in to the world :(

I'm using the usual lotions and potions but I havent been for a poo yet...I'm dreading it. My bum is much more painful than the grazes on my lady bits. I've taken some lactulose in the hope of 'softening' the blow as it were but I wondered if anyone knew if anything else I can do to a. speed up the healing and b. make this first number 2 pass off without too much trauma!

Cypress and frankincense essential oils in your bath are suppost to work according to my book. But I just used lavendar oil in mine as that has healing properties. Not too sure if it helped but I was willing to try anything to shorten the healing process :)

I wondered about a lavender or salt bath actually chick - thanks

And sorry but the farmers made me laugh  ...not heard that one before!

OH calls them 'Chalfonts'........Chalfont St Giles.....

I would suggest salt too - lavender in there aswell. Hope they retreat soon! :)

Isn't arnica good for brusing, soreness etc? Not sure in this case but might be worth looking into? xx

No idea hun, but hope they go soon for you! :(

Litres of pure orange? joke.. Hope they clear soon

Witch hazel was my saviour after I had Katie. They gave me a bottle of it leaving hospital and some gauze pads to apply to both areas. You just change it at every time you go to the loo and it really helps pain and swelling

Honestly it's the best stuff in the world :D

I use distilled witch hazel when I get nasty spots, never thought of using it anywhere else other than my face!! And how slow am I? I read this post this morning and only just figured out why you called them farmers :rotfl:
