.......the question is 'is it right to save very (21-24 weeks) premature babies?'

I was interested in what real parents and parents to be thought not just the 'experts'!

That's a really tough one, I don't know much to give a decent argument. So from knowing very little I would say if babys heart is beating and there is a good chance they they will survive and not be severely ill then yes. But would they be able to give a proper prognosis and guarantee that baby would be ok? And then I suppose it would bring in the abortion debate as well because you can abort up to 24 weeks can't you?
I should have been watching it!

yeah i think your right the cut offis 24 weeks which i think is desgusting presonally unless its for medical reasons. I would be worried about the quality of life for the baby but then i dont know if i would be able to give up my baby just on an off chance, from what they were saying you dont get very long to make the choice. its a real toughy! hopefully it will get to the point where hardly anyone will ever need to make this choice!!

I know it's *slightly* later, and that 2 weeks inside mummy can make all the difference, but my stepbrother was born at 26 weeks and is now perfectly healthy and in his twenties! So I think 24 weeks is just a bit too far on IMO. And not being funny, Lizzie was 'my baby' from the word go, so it's not like you don't bond with 'it' before 21-24 weeks!
