Jasper is 15 and a bit weeks old... i am fairly sure he is starting to teeth, his spit has ramped up something chronic and last night he woke up every two hours for a feed
:oooo::nap::wall2:

have ordered him an amber necklace which will hopefully help but he's not his usual very chilled self!

Bless!

Have been giving him some gum rubs which he LOVES and i know its going to build up his ability to pick things up and put them in his mouth which is a big step...

On saturday i was a bit worried about him, he was so hard to get to sleep and very shouty... Liam was amazing and calmed me and him down but i think we have some hard times ahead

aah bless him. i dont think annabelle has started yet but im dreading her being in pain x

I think my LO goes through episodes poss twice a day with his teething he roars the place down its quite scary bright red face an the only thing settles him calpol the right dosage then put dummy in put him in his cot upstairs u stay down stairs an try not to stress as much of the cryin i no its hard but put baby monitor on an leave him to cry it out takes 10 mins roughly poss bit longer but theyll fall asleep in no pain :D hope this helps x

thanks for sharing ladies, we dont leave Jasper to cry as a rule, we make the place nice and put him down in comfort and stay with him until he falls asleep, i like him to think we are there at the same time as being able to have a shout about whats upsetting him

we bought him a teething giraffe from JoJoMaMaBeBe which comforts him because he can bite on it :) poor mite!

Lucas has been teething for months now but we still have no actual teeth lol. I comfort him as much as i can and give him everything available to help him but sometimes he is so grizzly (understandably). I often have to just let him cry when he is especially clingy as i have Jacob to consider as well. Teething is a nightmare, i can only imagine how bad it is for LO, i remember when i got my wisdom teeth, that was grim xx

Matt's in the same boat BB - very grumpy and unsettled, waking up to soothe on me and not really feed - having a 5 minute feed and then being very fussy - drooling for the first time, ramming his fist into his mouth. Ive been using a teeny bit of Bonjela but like you have ordered a an amber necklace as I had such good results with Rosie xx

When i try and settle LO when hes crying the way he does hold him etc... nothing settles him i get little frustrated an end up crying myself because i do everything i can whilst hes screaming his head off calpol an crying for 10 mins i have no choice but to put him down.
I dont smoke ive only gave up 2 weeks ago so the urge to have one can put strain on me lol.
He falls asleep though. if you can settle him before ur lil un has an episode like mine then ur doing a better job then me cos i cant settle mine at all lol x

i do leave him to cry... but i am always with him IFSWIM... I wont leave the room if hes crying, just leave my hand on him or hold his little hand with mine until he is settled

i couldnt leave him to cry, it would be torture for both of us, so i would rather have the headache than the thought of him crying all on his own

RM - have you tried the JojoMamaBebe teething giraffes? they really do soothe Jasper and its sooo nice that he can chew on something other than plastic - they are made from a natural rubber and are a big hit with teething babies :D

My friends 5 month on was grizzling the other day and i gave him Jays giraffe for a minute, he shut up straight away and got to chewing it, think it feels really nice on their gums

have also heard good things about Ashtons Teething Powders or something like that... going to check it out and order some :)

My LO wont hold on nething yet at 4 months old hes not into rattles an he wont hold nething he doesnt appear to be bothered although with a tea towel he will grip that an put that in his mouth just like his hands so if i got him what u got ur LO it wont work for mine :( lol x

dont worry SM2B... Teething is the start of babies wanting to put things in their mouths and chew on them so i bet your wee one will start picking things up soon, Jasper has nearly got the hang of it but doesnt have much control yet

facinating how they grow :)

Ashtons and Parsons powders are better for settling the tummy troubles they get from swallowing all that extra saliva - they really help Rosie's tummy, they can get the most awful teething poos later on, they totally stink like nothing on earth. Nelsons do a homeopathic remedy that is excellent, you can get it in Boots, its in a green and white box xx

I put his rattle on his arm for him to hear the sound think he got it off
he did a smelllly nappy the other day and went up his back  disguting. i think i need to order a gas mask asap!! lol x

Annabelle has definitely started teething now!!

HV confirmed it today. the dribble is immense. her fist is constantly in her mouth, and shes more tired and grizzly.

I NEVER leave her to cry. it would hurt me more than her haha.

poor little babies dont have a clue whats happening bless 'em

Oh my friend had an amber neckless and really felt it helped her little one. Ross definately has something going on too, the drool, the fist and finger munching. It doesn't seem to bother him too much yet but I did get some ashtons powders and bongela in so I'm prepared. Oh and the teething toys, muslins and bibs all go in the mouth. Poor wee mites, as if they've not got enough learning and growing to do!!

Ethan has only just come through his bad teething patch, he was also waking every 2hours in the night and was so moody during the day. I think i may get one of them jjmb giraffes for next time. I had seen them but didn't know anyone that had tried it. Nelsons teething granules work wonders but i still have to use teething gel also and calpol at night time. I'm dreading the next episode. Poor babies! Xx

Ah RM morgan has been dribbling loads and has the WORST runny poos!! I didnt connect that to the teething though. Can see the white under his gums today, hope we get there soon! Big sympathies to all the teething babies, and their parents!

About leaving them to cry, I did it once when he had colic cos I thought I was going to loose my mind, literally nothing I did made any difference, he was crying so loud he couldnt even hear me singing to him or anything. I put him in the kitchen in his pram, shut all the doors and went upstairs for 5 mintues. I was literally shaking and my heart was pounding, I was crying myself, so I can completely understand when you get to the stage where you have to just leave them.

I have been wondering if Toby has started to teeth, but just put it down to him finding his mouth, but he is quite dribbley, and chomps quite happily on my fingers for ages, and will suck on his fists too (although I think that is more of a sign that he has indigestion, either that or he has anorexia already as he throws up after stuffing his fist down his neck!)... I wonder if he is teething?...
