Test - normal or faulty?

Hi girls, I've got a Clear Blue test (not a digital one) but when I took it out of the foil yesterday, I realised there was already a feint 'negative' line in the test window, the control window is blank. I had another one, so used that, but I don't know whether the line being there means its faulty or not? Can't find anything on Google and don't want to return it if it's perfectly normal! x

Thanks a lot girls! Freebie chasing sounds a mega plan! Last time I wrote and complained (to Gregg's, because they stopped doing the New Yorker sandwich) I got sent vouchers, so fx! x
