TENS - opinions please!

Just wondering what peoples opinions were on hiring a TENS machine for your 2nd baby. I had one with my son and it was really good for the first part of labour before I went in the birthing pool but i'm not sure whether to hire one out this time or not. Everyone seems to be loads quicker with their second baby and my mum had my brother in about an hour so I don't know whether its worth paying out for it if I might not even use it. Maybe the birthing unit will have one I can use if its not already in use at the time??!

HI TAN , I USED A TENS WITH MY DAUGHTER AND I'M PLANNING TO AGAIN. HAVE YOU ASKED YOUR MIDWIFE IF THEY RENT THEM OUT AT YOUR CLINIC? I KNOW MINE DO AND ITS FREE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS REPLACE SOMETHING WHEN YOU'VE FINISHED WITH IT . ie THE PADS OR BATTERIES.
I'M HOPING FOR THIS LABOUR TO GO QUICKLY BUT YOU NEVER KNOW!
