will it strengthen muscles?

am thinking of getting one to use for 20mins a day to stop my back from ceasing up x

i'm not sure if it does, but sounds like a good idea to me, can only be beneficial!! my back ceases up something too xxx

Tens aren't advised before 37 weeks unless under medical supervision but I've been using one for SPD for the last week as my GP was happy for me to try. I think it would take an awful lot more to strengthen those big muscles, my physio advised sitting on a gym ball rather than a chair as all your core muscles have to work hard to keep your balance even though it feels like you're pretty secure on it. In fact they advised that instead of swimming for SPD anyway. It's also advised for getting baby in the right position etc.

No bother, oh and physio said even 30 minutes each day on the ball would help, and just sitting, no need to move around if you don't want to, still works to tone. I wish all exercise was that easy :)

My mum has an electronic pulse machine thingy for her arm (paralysed) and I keep telling her to get it on her tummy and get a six pack  apparently they don't work like that
