Temper!

How do you help a 17 month old who has a bad temper? Beth lashes out and hits, throws things and bites. And today she threw herself on the floor in Morrisons because I was asking her to try walking instead of crawling and she didn't want to.

This is a very recent thing and up until about two weeks ago she was an angel. I had a bad temper as a kid and I'm worried she's going to be the same.

It's so heartbreaking when I see her lose control and get angry, followed by her crying hysterically.

I've been reading toddler clam by Sarah ockwell smith. It's a great book which explains the science behind toddler tantrums and gentler ways to deal with them. If you google her, she has lots of articles online x
