So yeah.

First we have lactose intolerance and colic. Crying all day every day.
Then we have jabs. Cries all day every day for a few days afterwards.

FINALLY some improvement and yesterday she was glorious now SUDDENLY there's a corner of a tooth poking through on her top left (I thought they were supposed to get bottom first or is she a freak like her mother?!) and she's bl**dy whinging all day. Kill me now. This crying is neverending, if it's not one thing it's another. I've had to resort to Calpol (which worked) and now after reading the "How often do you give your LO Calpol?" thread I feel terribly guilty.

Bah. When does teething stop and what will be the next miserable stage to follow immediately after?!

crap innit     connor is inconsolable if i set him down for a nanosecond at the moment and i'm wondering if that's cos he's teething again...

don't feel bad about giving calpol - if connie's in pain, why feel bad about giving her pain relief?? sure, its not something to be given all the time, but there's nothing wrong with it when used sensibly! there are a few other really good teething remedies - my faves are sugar-free bonjela cos it def works for connor, and also his teething necklace.

Teetha or Nelsons powders..they calm too...so it says on the box!

OMG! Tell me about it

I resorted to sticking my music on LOUD to drown out the cries. Am I a bad mother

Bah, I wudnt worry - Calpol works for us too, and I use it!!! If it means hes not in pain the whey, and it saves my ears from his incesant moaning, winging on and on and on!! Nothing but moan moan moan, I think im going to scream!!!!!!!!!

Hes tucked up in bed fast asleep now tho - :cheer: No more moaning till about 8am!! Phew!

Ashton and Parsons powders iv found good, and bongela!

We are there too, although today has been a lot better (hope I haven't jinxed myself now  )

Don't feel bad about giving calpol, sometimes when you have tried everything else you have to give them some relief from the pain.

Have you tried bickiepegs?, they work wonders when they chomp down on them. Ruby has 5 teeth now and another 2 popping through at same time  temp up and grabbing ears time!!!!

Aston & Parsons teething powder is meant to work wonders. I've some on order.

Also use teething rings cooled in the fridge.

Sorry to hear you are having a tough time of it with crying

I've been using the powders and he does seem happier afterwards they are worth a try. They're just a bit tricky to give to them.

 My LO started teething at 11 weeks and has been non stop with it since then and she is nearly one now. She really is a slow and difficult teether and suffers badly with every single one.

It drives me crazy at times and it has made the first year really hard. She was also ill after each injection for several days. Temperature and crying loads.

Sometimes I wonder if there is a link between reactions to jabs and teething - the types of babies that can tolerate pain etc.

I use Calpol etc or A&P teething powders (but maybe they make me feel better about it rather than her!) Those things only ever seems to take a bit of edge of the pain but she goes for weeks with each tooth. This weekend we had her waking up 14 times a night, temperature, crying and wanting to be carried ALL day, tummy pains, not eating or drinking, horrendous nappies and cold like sypmtoms.

The worse thing is that when you say she is teething people are REALLY annoying. They say things like 'have you thought about teething toys?/ what about bonjela?' - oh silly me  why didn't I think of that?!

sorry - PC froze hence the double post.

You can iirc delete a post if you do so within a set amount of time after posting.

There is a X in the bottom right corner of the post if you look at it after posting. Click that and it disappears.

 Hi Sherlock,

I managed to delete two of them but the PC is running so slow and there is a huge delay between when I press 'submit' or 'delete' that I think I ran out of time for the last ones. No more Xs.
