Teething on my nipples OUCH!

Ellie keeps teething on my nipple OUCH! Its really bloody hurts & ive got lickle bruises where shes gummed me really hard She hasnt got any teeth yet luckily which im thankful for but im worried about when she does, thats gotta hurt! Shes always done it now and again but at the moment it seems to be every feed!

When shes done it ive told her no and taken her off the breast, but she just smiles/giggles at me! Any ideas how I can stop her doing this, preferably BEFORE she gets teeth?!?!

dunno lil miss has had teeth for months... I've been bitten a fair few times...

Oliver was doing this for a while, and like you I'd go "ouch" and pull away & he'd just giggle up at me. I then got wise to his facial expressions & could tell when he was gonna chomp down, so would slip my nipple out before he did it. Sometimes he'd do it for no reason, other times he was straining for a poo (sorry TMI ).

But - touch wood (taps head!) he's not done it for over a week now, so maybe I outsmarted him in the end

Calleigh seems to be doing this also. My God it dont half hurt. She just suddenly clamps down really hard and sometimes moves her head away from me with my nipple still in her gob
I am dreading the teeth actually coming through

You could try giving her a teething toy before feeding her or making sure that she's not distracted or tired when she's feeding.
