i cant remember how much ours was but DH's Nanan bought it us because we couldnt pay for it  Shes so nice she pays our tv licence too. Why is it so expencive just to keep your head above water? 2 people working full time should never have to stuggle like this!!

Our Bora is £115 a year (1.9 TDi)
and my Polo is a 1.2 and £100 a year :cheer:
Although as a giving birth gift i'm getting a TT engine in the Polo which means my tax bracket will go up too :wall:
Still be worth it for the vrooom psstchh :rotfl:

well how does that work out if my DF's VW Golf is the same, a 1.9TDI, yet has to pay nearly £200 a year???

No idea honey but ive just renewed the Bora a couple of weeks ago and it was defo £115 was £110 but the budget put it up a fiver, you sure ya fellas car is a TDi and not a GTi that would be the more expensive one flower,

Agree with FeeFee there - also age comes into it - newer cars are have better fuel efficiencey and fewer emmisions etc so are cheaper to tax
