tax credits

i have just been made rendundant so i rang the tax credits people to imform them and they wanted to know what i had earned since april, im hopeing my tax credits will go up as i now have no income and i really dont know how we are going to manage.

does anyone know if they will up my money ar has anyone been in a similar situation.

Assuming your OH is still in work and youre still entitled then yes it should go up to reflect the lower household income. Have a look here hun as this will give you a rough figure http://www.entitledto.org.uk/

Yeah they should go up hun, but I think they work out how much your entitled to over the year and divide it up into 12 dont they, which is probably why they need proof from april xxx
