How soon after giving birth can you use tampons? Did anyone that had an episiotomy have any issues using them again?

My understanding is that it's recommended that you don't them during your post natal bleed, but you can from the next period.
My experience has been that tampons don't sit quite right even now and I've had 3 normal periods
