Tally ho I need postal order help

Ok. I'm ashamed to admit that although I have heard tell of these mysterious things, when the bit comes to the bit I actually have no idea really, what these do, how you use them, where you get them (I'm guessing PO)

You have to go to the post office to buy them, you have to pay them a small charge. You fill it out in the name of the person you're paying, you can cross it so that only they can cash it.

The recipient has to go to the post office to cash it, they take ID with them and the PO give them cash for it.

I think they're covered if they go missing, don't know anything about that bit though!

If they are crossed they can only be paid into a bank account. This is recommended if it's a large sum of money.
