Taking soy isoflavins with normal cycle?

Hi Girls
I'm wanting to improve my egg quality, I may get some Ubiquinol, I have Royal Jelly and took thst for 3 month prior to getting my Bfp

I don't know if it was my poor quality egg that caused my m/c as the embryo/fetus stopped developing at 5 weeks so I'm thinking a poor quality egg/chromosomal abnormality? Is there anything else you ladies tale to help egg quality? going to get as healthy as humanly possible :)

Hugs to you Gail, you've been in my thoughts a lot lately, huge hug to you my friend xxx.
I'm taking Royal Jelly, bee pollen, Maca powder, wheatgrass powder and Ubiquinol. I mix the bee pollen royal jelly ( I open the capsules up), wheatgrass and Maca up with an orange and carrot smoothie that I buy from Asda, it's absolutely delicious. Then after breakfast I take 300mg Ubiquinol. xxx

I took Soy a few months ago, ovulated super early on it and had OV pains which i dont normally get! My cycles are usually between 25-29 days, I took it and got a positive opk on CD10 and ovulated the next day!! Not sure if i would take it again...maybe? I am alwats a little weary of things that affect m cycles/ovualtion. Saying that I've heard some positive stories from it (Also in my 40's btw)

Have you heard of COQ10/Ubiquinol? Apprantly meant to help improve egg quality, been taking COQ10 since September and just switched to the ubiquinol verson as its meant to be 8 times more potent

x

Hi hun, yes same as you I am very weary of anything that might mess cycles up. I took epo and I ovulated on cd10, ultra early for me. I have also started maca powder and my 29day cycle has been reduced to 26 days so I'm not using that anymore.
I started on Ubiquinol a few days ago, I'm on 300g, I have read you have to take 600g ?. What dose are you on ? xx

I bought maca powder as well lol, did you get the raw powder? I'm worried as some people say it gives them a bad stomach so not sure what to do...

I cant seem to find anywhere that tells you how much to take?? I was taking 600mg of COQ10 (ubiqinone) but read that ubiqinol is 8 times stronger!! so just started on a 200mg dose...I might up it to 300mg maybe...

I'm not sure if mine is the raw powder, I got it from a local health food shop, I have had an upset tummy now and again but I don't know whether thats due to Maca or having my gallbladder out just over 2 weeks ago. I do think the Maca gave me a short cycle this time as went from 29 days to 26 days, I'm not taking Maca this cycle just to see if it was that that shortened my cycle.
Yes I'm taking 300mg Ubiquinol, on my 200g jar it says you can take 2 capsules so that would be 400mg, I've definitely read the dose to help fertility is 600g but that would work out very expensive xx

I might hold off from the maca for a bit. I stupidly bought a 50mg dosage of ubiquinol (thought they were 100!) I think I might up the dose to 300mg for now and next time I might buy the 200g jar....it better bloody work costing me a small fortune LOL :wall2:

Also looking into reflexology, trying to find someone who specialises in fertilirty....found a few but none in my immediate area! I have found one lady whose about a 25min drive so gonna give her a call I think.

Hi Clover, I've just posted in another thread about this, I'm on a mission to spend the next few months getting myself and my eggs as healthy as possible for my last few months of trying. Soy is so tempting because of all the stories on here but everything I've read says not to take it if you have regular cycles, which I do. Also I don't think you should take it if you have thyroid issues, which I do.

I'm going to eat as cleanly as possible - fresh, organic veg, fish, some meat. Avoid processed food, alcohol and try and cut out the caffeine. I'm taking 300mg ubiquinol a day, 5000 iu D3, folate (the better form of folic acid), maca in capsule form, vitamin C, a probiotic to keep my gut healthy and a vit B complex. I also have a jar of raw honey containing royal jelly, pollen and propolis (got it from Apitherapy Wellbeing) and wheatgrass powder. Had a smoothie this morning made up of a banana, big handful of spinach, teaspoon of the honey, tablespoon of the wheatgrass powder and coconut water - it was delicious!

I agree with you that healthy eggs is key, I think you're supposed to allow a good 3 months to improve the health of your eggs, some of the above I've been taking for a while now but some of it is new so I'm trying to take a very relaxed approach for the next 3 months although that won't stop me symptom spotting of course... So sorry for what you're going through right now.

Hi ladies, just to say I was a soy success story. I took 100mg days 3,4,5 and 200mg days 6,7 - ovulated on day 13 rather than 17 and caught that month and we only managed to bd on day 12/13!

I absolutely would be using them if there ever was to be a next time xx
