I saw my GP today and he reckons I should take Damien off the apnoea monitor I'm sorry, but am I blowing smoke about his apnoea's or is this GP making about as much sense as sausage and ice cream?!
Oh i see! my little sister was on one of them when she was a baby shehad a heart murmer(sp?) and stopped breathing loads of times. Im more than sure she had to be on the moniter till she was 1 then they gave them something else is was a sensor mat (i had one for adele it was made by angel care) if she stopped moving for more than 20 secs the alarm would go off. Now shes 14 he heart is fine but she still goes into yorkhill once a year just to be checked over.Sami said:An apnoea monitor checks his breathing as he has a habit of stopping breathing and forgetting how to start. this sounds an alarm when he has stopped breathing for more than 15-20 seconds.
