a bit embarrasing lol i need to talk about number 1's!

i havent really got rid of the pregnancy "sudden desperate need for wee and frequently"!?!

before i was preggo i did wee quite frequently, as i drink lots of fluids since i read that wee should be clear and not yellow so i always make sure it is! but nothing like now- also before if i did go for a wee when my bladder was full there was A LOT there lol it lasted about 60 seconds!

but now, instead of a gradual urge building up, i go from not-needing-a-wee-at-all to desperately-needing-the-loo really quickly almost suddenly :? and when i do go i expect there to be loads (coz the urge is so desperate) but there isnt, theres just a small amount that lasts 8 or 9 seconds.

and its not cystitis, coz iv had that and omg thats HORRIBLE its nothing like that- with that the urge doesnt go away after youve gone and it hurts and theres only a few drips come out its ghastly- its not that.

it seems like theres an elastic band on my bladder or something so i feel like its full when its only half-full, iykwim?

is this normal after pregnancy or should i get this sorted at the docs

Mat be just a slight case if cystitis, i used to get it loads a few years ago and it can vary. It may some other kind of wee infection, either way best to go see GP to get some antibiotics to clear it before it gets any worse.

could be your pelvic floor muscles... try some exercises like stopping peeing mid flow to try and strengthen you bladder... if you have problems stopping your flow immediate when you do... its pelvic floor... :D

I feel like same.. I reckon iv got a bladder problem.. Im constatly going for a wee all the time and even when my bladder seems full and feels like im bursting hardly nothing comes out :?

Could be a urine infection

Exactly what i was thinking, could also be a bit of water retention.

I was told you should be putting out what you put in, so one litre drunk, ya should pee a litre!!

i asked my HV while she was here today, she said i can drop a sample at the docs to be sure, but she really doubts its an infection as i told her i drink at least 2 litres of non-caffienated non-fizzy fluids per day (a little fizzy and caffiene on the side, but not much mostly good liquids!)

she said its probably weakened muscles from giving birth, and frequent peeing (i go number 1's every hour) can shrink the bladder so it fills up rele quick! she said i can train it to gain capacity by holding on just a few minutes (not longer or could do damage)
i told her bout my little accident when i was late for lunch the other week too (details in sherlock's thread in "ask a mum" lol) and she said even now a year later u still need to do them pelvic floors! it doesnt just completely snap back without a bit of effort like i thought it had tbh as i'd had no accidents since millie was only days old. but never stop urine mid-flow its bad for u! thats what she told me. just thought i'd share her advice neway but i will take a sample to docs

For goodness sake - i was told to stop mid flow only 3 weeks ago :shakehead:

I wish they would make their minds up

I have the sudden urge thing quite a lot and I've not given birth.
I had a recurrent UTI that started in November. I still get samples sent off quite regularly as I'm sure what I'm experiencing can't be right. But they keep coming back clear... :? I'm a teacher and quite often I just have to run out of the class to the loo. Most days I wear a sanitary towel just in case, as a few times i have had some leakage!!
Sorry I'm not any help, but I know a bit what you feel like!

 I had better get working on that pelvic floor before December...
